Roof top, St Paul Street Gallery
From where she was standing is an exhibition of new work by Maddie Leach, which references her time as artist in residence in Mandurah, Western Australia in 2014. The project follows and extends a curious historical narrative between a rock, a meteorite and a missing plaque in small town Western Australia.
Zeroing in on the meteorite’s presence the show, we are hosting a telescope viewing of the moon and Jupiter with John Rowe from Auckland Stardome Observatory & Planetarium. This event will take place at 8pm on the rooftop close to the gallery building. Light refreshments provided.
